Job descriptionCFO / VP Finance / Controller experience in start-up / high growth or highly regulated distribution (beverage / chem / med-surg, etc.) Fundraising or lender-facing track record; ERP / BI implementation (e.g., NetSuite / Intacct / Power BI ) CPA or MBA required (both preferred)
We are thrilled to partner with a small, reputable, Massachusetts-based company to find the perfect fit for their CFO!
This role is a hands-on CFO to build and lead finance for a fast-growing cannabis wholesale start-up in Massachusetts. Youll own FP&A, cash / treasury (13-week), GAAP close, investor / lender relations, and scalable systems (ERP / BI). Partner with the CEO to drive growth, margin, and compliance.
You will
- Stand up budgets / forecasts, KPI dashboards, and controls
- Manage cash flow, credit facilities / ABL, and banking / credit union relationships
- Oversee close, audits, tax (incl. 280E ), and seed-to-sale (METRC) reconciliations
- Negotiate vendor terms and improve inventory / COGS visibility
- Build / mentor a small, high-performing team
