As part of the Todd & Sargent IT Team, the IT Junior Administrator provides first-line technical support to 150+ employees across both office and field operations. This position is focused on end-user service, CAD / BIM software support, and assisting with general IT infrastructure maintenance.
Success in this position comes from delivering top-notch customer service, learning the technical foundations of our environment, and building strong relationships in both office and field.

Technical Expectations
Help Desk Support
- Provide Tier 1 technical support via phone, email, and in-person assistance
- Troubleshoot common issues with Windows workstations, printers, and mobile devices
- Support CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and related applications
- Document all support requests in ticketing system with detailed resolution steps
- Maintain help desk metrics including response time and resolution rate targets
- Escalate complex issues to Senior IT Administrator with proper documentation
Hardware & Infrastructure
Deploy and configure new workstations and laptops for staff onboardingPerform routine maintenance on high-performance CAD workstationsAssist with network infrastructure maintenance and cable managementSupport mobile device management for iPads and field devicesManage inventory of IT equipment and supplies using asset management systemCoordinate hardware warranty repairs and replacementsSoftware Support
Assist with Autodesk software installations and license managementSupport Office 365 deployments and basic troubleshootingMaintain software inventory and compliance trackingPerform basic database maintenance and backup verification under supervisionUpdate and patch workstation operating systems following established proceduresSupport specialized engineering applications (RAM, Wind, Enercalc)Field Operations Support
Provide remote support for field personnel via VPN and remote desktop toolsAssist with mobile device configuration and troubleshootingSupport construction management software used on jobsitesCoordinate with Senior IT Administrator for complex field technical issuesDocument field support procedures and common resolution stepsEnd-User Support & Customer Service
Provide clear communication with employees of all technical levelsModel best practices for customer service and coach junior staff in handling end-user supportAnticipate user needs, document solutions, and contribute to a growing IT knowledge baseBuild trust with employees by consistently delivering responsive, high-quality supportEffective Organization and Housekeeping of IT Hardware
Ensure proper organization, inventory, and maintenance of all IT hardware to ensure efficient operations and easy access.Follow protocols for regular audits of hardware inventory, ensuring all equipment is accounted for, functional, and up-to-date.Promote best practices for the care and handling of IT assets to extend their lifespan and optimize performance, including guidelines for usage, storage, and disposal of outdated equipment.Qualifications :
Education : Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
Experience : 1-2 years relevant experience in IT support or help desk environment
Technical Skills :
Strong Windows desktop support skills and basic networking knowledgeFamiliarity with Microsoft Office Suite and basic troubleshootingUnderstanding of Active Directory basics and user account managementBasic knowledge of computer hardware and peripheral devicesPreferred Qualifications
Experience in architecture / engineering or professional services environmentKnowledge of CAD / BIM software and high-performance workstation requirementsMicrosoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE, Azure Administrator, or equivalent)CompTIA Security+ or similar security certificationsExperience with backup and disaster recovery solutionsFamiliarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST 800-171)Understanding of construction industry workflows and technology needs
