Unit : Emergency Department (ER)

Employment Type : Travel Nursing Assignment

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 09 / 22 / 2025 – End : 12 / 22 / 2025)

Shift : 12 Hour Nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1530 - $1640 per week

Patient Ratios : 4 : 1 (medical), up to 7 : 1 (ED behavioral holds)

Team : Techs, unit clerks, and collaborative nursing staff

Documentation : Cerner EMR

Equipment : Baxter pumps, GE monitors

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state

Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 1 year as an ER RN

Preferred : Experience in Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume Emergency Department (100,000+ visits / year)

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (must be current before start date)

ENPC certification within 90 days of hire

Strong teamwork skills and flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Room

Ability to coach, mentor, and provide real-time feedback

Commitment to positive patient experience and respectful communication (AIDET)

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations

Perform advanced procedures and respond to trauma and critical care situations

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes

Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed

Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR and update patient boards

Uphold hospital policies, dress code (navy scrubs), and attendance standards

Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and respectful work environment
