Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,200 per week in Lincoln, NE

Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Profession : Nursing Specialty : Medical-Surgical Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : Minimum of 1 year License : BSN Required Certifications : BLS Must-Have : Driver's license required for all candidates Description : Candidates must not be employed full time, part time, or PRN with any associated facility. Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care. Refusal to remove artificial nails will lead to contract termination. Registered Nurses must pass an exam during orientation. This is an open book exam based on skills learned. Candidates are provided all necessary resources to pass. A score of 90% or higher is needed to pass the exam. The unit consists of 42 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 5-6. Staff typically experience a 1 : 6 ratio at least once a week. There is a Charge Nurse on each shift, and the Charge Nurse also takes an assignment. Only Heparin is a titratable drip used in the unit. Respiratory Therapy is available on the floor 24 hours. The unit has a centralized telemetry station, and telemeters are present on the floor. Patient care technicians are available on the unit with a ratio of 1 : 10-12. Shifts run from 0630-1900 and 1830-0700. Weekend and holiday work is required as needed. There is no call or standby requirement. Float requirements may include PCU or Burn units. Scrubs are navy blue. The first week includes classroom training followed by on-the-floor shifts. Candidates must submit requests for time off beforehand. Additional time off requests after submission will not be considered. The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts during the 13-week assignment. The charting system used is EPIC.
