Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, seeks a Wastewater Technician for an industrial wastewater treatment facility.. In this role you will provide the safe and efficient operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant accordance with generally accepted engineering and industrial standards and in a manner calculated to meet the operating permit limits and demands on site. The treatment processes that may be encountered are for paint sludge, oily waste or sanitary.

What You Will Do :
Responsible for 100% on time preventative maintenance tasking generated by the approved site Computerized Maintenance Management System
Assist with scope in U1, U2 and U3 WWT buildings
Handle daily sampling requirements, daily jar testing, and daily calibration of meters to maintain proper QA & QC
Handle monthly and quarterly sampling requirements as well as Storm Water Pond Sampling & Storm Water Management of Ponds as required
Meet Discharge monthly report requirements, Compliance Monitoring Report requirements, and Baseline Monitoring Report requirements
Handle daily sludge management of boxes and press system
Operate, maintain, and repair sludge pumps
Daily chemical inventory
Operate, maintain, and repair the Laboratory Atomic Absorption MASS spectrometer
Perform preventative maintenance based on MAXIMO PM system requirements
Meet with Chemical Management and others
Position Details
Location : White, GA
Shift : Days 7am - 7pm OR Nights 7pm - 7am alternating days
Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent
History of working in a field that required autonomy and self-motivation
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Prior experience with Chemistry and analytical / mechanical troubleshooting
Experience with Water Testing
Willingness to obtain WWT certifications

Preferred Qualifications :
Previous experience working in an industrial or municipal wastewater treatment plant.
Prior experience performing basic process and maintenance troubleshooting
Strong mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical & instrumentation aptitude.
Working knowledge of wastewater treatment systems and related processes
Experience working with Excel
Annual or Hourly Compensation Range :
$25-$27 Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
