Description :

The Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is pleased to invite applications for an Adjunct position in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Hofstra University. The Department of Physics and Astronomy welcomes applications in the field of Astronomy.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Teach introductory algebra-based astronomy lecture with lab component servicing primarily non-science major programs.
  • Astronomy courses are in-person only.

Qualifications :

  • An MS / MA in physics, astronomy, or a related STEM field.
  • Preferred Quals Summary :

  • PhD degree in physics or astronomy, preferred.
  • Teaching experience.
