Job description

Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law 100 global law firm seeking a Private Wealth and Fiduciary Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Silicon Valley (Menlo Park) or San Francisco office, with a preference for Silicon Valley.

This position offers the opportunity to work with a nationally recognized Private Wealth and Fiduciary Litigation Team , representing clients in complex and emotionally charged disputes involving trusts, estates, and conservatorships . The team includes some of the most successful trial attorneys in the country and is known for its high-profile, trial-heavy practice.

Practice Overview

The Private Wealth and Fiduciary Litigation group represents beneficiaries, trustees, fiduciaries, and family members in disputes involving :

  • Breach of fiduciary duty, fiduciary misconduct, and fraud
  • Misfeasance or malfeasance in estate and trust administration
  • Investment mismanagement and financial elder abuse
  • Will and trust contests and related estate disputes

Associates in this practice gain deep experience with high-stakes litigation, intricate family dynamics, and cutting-edge legal issues while maintaining meaningful client contact and significant courtroom exposure.

  • Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of litigation experience , preferably in trusts and estates litigation or related areas involving fiduciary disputes.
  • Experience or exposure to issues concerning trusts, decedents' estates, conservatorships, or adult guardianships .
  • Admission to the California State Bar required.
  • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
  • Compensation

  • Annual salary range : $260,000 - $390,000
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package, commensurate with experience.
