Mission Sela Public Charter School (Sela PCS) offers children of all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds in the District of Columbia, from Pre-K to 5 th grade, the opportunity to achieve academic excellence in a safe, nurturing environment that focuses on Hebrew language immersion, promotes the value of diversity and provides the skills for taking action in the world. Through exposure to the Hebrew language and contemporary Israeli culture, students learn broad lessons about how to appreciate and participate in cultures that are different from their own.
Job Responsibilities Work 1-on-1 with students with disabilities Understand and implement the student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Create a positive relationship with the student and their family Participate in recess, snack and other activities daily Respond to feedback in a constructive way Skills and Characteristics High bar for behavior and academic success Strong relationship-building skills Unyielding commitment to students, self and school’s constant learning and development Relentlessness and doing whatever it takes to ensure success Team player Highly organized Belief in Sela PCS’s mission, educational model, and core values Maturity, humility, strong work ethic, sense of humor, and “roll-up-my-sleeves” attitude Experience High School Diploma Experience supervising children Compensation The annual salary for this position is $37,471.
