The Senior Counsel, Commercial Transactions will serve as a key member of MEI's Legal team, reporting directly to the Deputy General Counsel & Vice President, Legal. This role partners closely with our Development, Finance, and Operations teams to guide commercial and project transactions from early-stage structuring through financial close.
The ideal candidate will be commercially minded and serve serve as a strategic advisor and partner to other members of the transactional team, playing a key role in securing new project acquisitions and development while leading diligence and closing processes with external partners. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to balance multiple, competing priorities on a regular basis.
You'll work on a wide range of renewable energy projects, helping shape MEI's growth through thoughtful deal-making, creative problem-solving, and clear, pragmatic advice. Benefits
$190,000-210,000 per year, plus discretionary annual bonus
Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and scope of responsibility. The total package typically includes eligibility for an annual performance bonus and long-term incentive opportunities
