Average Pay: $28/hr

Pay Range: $34,000/yr - $100,000/yr

Position Overview

As a Telecommunications Technician, you will play a key role in installing, maintaining, and upgrading cable systems while promptly addressing clients' service issues. Your main goal will be to ensure optimal functionality of cable systems through effective troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled installations, disconnects, and maintenance on cable, broadband, and telephony systems efficiently.
• Work in diverse environments, including high and confined spaces, executing tasks that may require ladder climbing.
• Proactively troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with team members and manage work orders, forms, and reports accurately.
• Maintain and manage job-related stock effectively.
• Strictly adhere to company and OSHA safety regulations.
• Adapt to changing workloads to meet business demands.
• Exhibit professionalism and a positive attitude during public interactions.
• Utilize communication devices effectively to fulfill responsibilities.
• Demonstrate commitment to quality in your work and take pride in results.
• Perform daily data entry for completed tasks.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Must have a clean personal vehicle (truck, van, or SUV) capable of carrying a 28 ft ladder (ladder rack may be provided).
• A valid driver's license, registration, and auto insurance are mandatory (DMV records will be verified).
• Exemplary time management skills are essential.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Physically capable of performing all job functions.
• Maintain organization and a professional appearance.
• Basic computer skills are necessary.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
• Efficiently communicate with supervisors and team members using various channels.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, decision-making, and meeting deadlines.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors.
• Familiarity with hand tools is a plus.
• Must not have a fear of heights.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Maintain a positive work attitude at all times.

Compensation: $17.75/hr + weekly incentives + mileage reimbursement. Exceptional performers can earn an average of up to $28/hr.

Upon completion of the initial PAID TRAINING CLASS, you will receive all necessary tools to excel in this role.
