Description :

This position is for a registered nurse specializing in medical surgical care.

The nurse will work three 12-hour night shifts per week.

The nurse will provide care to adults and geriatric patients.

The average daily census on the unit is 25 patients.

Patient diagnoses include mixed medical surgical conditions and wound care.

The nurse will be part of an interdisciplinary support team.

The staff is required to float within the scope of their practice as needed.

The nurse must have proficiency in blood product administration and care management.

Knowledge of hemodialysis management and telemetry monitoring is essential.

Experience with wound care and suctioning is required.

The nurse will also perform tasks such as IV management and oxygen administration.

Weekend shifts will be required as part of the scheduling.

The unit has a patient ratio of 1 nurse to 5-6 patients.

The nurse will be expected to collaborate with various support services.

Experience with the specified patient care requirements is preferred.

Travel experience is accepted for this position.

The position does not require on-call duty.
