Overview
This position is for those PART TIME PSOs already on the FPS contract throughout Maine. Part Time PSOs do not have an awarded shift bid.
Synopsis
FPS Protective Security Officers (PSOs) are primarily responsible to perform security and monitoring work such as securing federal buildings and property, protecting personnel, equipment and material, and controlling access to work locations by employees and visitors throughout the state of Maine. The PSO will respond to emergencies, conduct inspections and perimeter checks, and access control.
Job Requirements
- 2 years of previous security experience, OR military experience, OR law enforcement to apply for this position.
- Clean background check (no felonies or domestic violence / assault charges). All applicants will under a federal background.
- U.S. Citizen / hold a social security card
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Shall fluently speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent written reports in English
- Pass a Medical Evaluation
- Drug Screen
- The company will assist in processing for federal background clearances

Current : $30.13 base play + $5.10 for health and welfare
