About the Role :

The Maintenance Worker plays a critical role in ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of commercial buildings within the organization. This position involves performing a wide range of maintenance tasks including painting, electrical, carpentry, plumbing and HVAC. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and resolving maintenance issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment. This role requires a proactive approach to general maintenance and repair work, contributing to the overall upkeep and aesthetic appeal of the facilities. Ultimately, the Maintenance Worker supports the smooth operation of the organization by maintaining infrastructure integrity and enhancing the workplace environment.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in general maintenance work within commercial buildings.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and electrical techniques.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Physical capability to perform manual labor including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Certification or training in specific above-mentioned trades.
  • Experience with commercial building maintenance.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices related to building maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems is a plus.
  • Previous experience working in a team-oriented maintenance environment.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Perform routine maintenance duties.
  • Conduct carpentry repairs including patching walls, fixing doors, and installing fixtures.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation
  • Address plumbing issues including repairs and maintenance of pipes, fixtures, and drainage systems.
  • Inspect buildings and equipment regularly to identify maintenance needs and report or resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, materials used, and work completed.
  • Skills :

    The required skills such as commercial building maintenance, masonry, HVAC, electrical carpentry, plumbing, general maintenance are applied daily to ensure the facility remains safe, functional, and visually appealing. The Maintenance Worker uses carpentry and masonry skills to repair structural elements and fixtures, while plumbing knowledge is essential for maintaining water and drainage systems. enhancing the overall environment. Preferred skills like certification in trades and familiarity with maintenance management systems enhance the ability to perform complex repairs and coordinate maintenance activities effectively.

    Monday thru Friday 8 : 00AM till 4 : 30PM
