Responsibilities & Qualifications

What You'll Do :

• Serve as a Civil Engineer for a variety of roadway and highway infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on Caltrans-led initiatives.
• Lead or support the development of design plans, calculations, and specifications using MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
• Collaborate closely with project managers and senior technical staff to develop and execute production work plans and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Support preparation of Caltrans PS&E packages, including cost estimates, special provisions, and bid documents.
• Apply a deep understanding of Caltrans standards, policies, and design guidelines (including the Highway Design Manual) to ensure compliant and constructible designs.
• Participate in field reviews, site visits, and coordination meetings with clients and stakeholders.
• Assist in mentoring junior staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $80,000 - $120,000 annually for this position and local market.
