What You'll Do

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues. Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe for any unusual or suspicious behavior, reporting findings according to site protocols. Interact professionally with store personnel and customers to address concerns and provide assistance as needed. Maintain awareness of store policies and procedures to support a secure shopping environment for staff and guests. Report security-related incidents and complete required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

Minimum Requirements

Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree. Be at least 21 years of age. An armed guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
