POSITION SUMMARY
The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate reconciliation of Feeding South Florida (FSF) physical and systematic inventories across all FSF facilities. This role emphasizes data analysis, inventory coordination, and structured problem-solving. The Analyst supports inventory accuracy, minimizes waste, and drives continuous improvement through data-driven insights.
COMPENSATION : $55,000 - $65,000 yearly
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage physical-to-systematic inventory discrepancies across all FSF facilities in accordance with Feeding America (FA) guidelines.
Perform data audits and analyze inventory trends to ensure proper handling, storage, and distribution of all inventories in accordance with Safe Food Handling, OSHA, FA, and Fair & Equitable distribution guidelines.
Food industry and other relevant licensing and permitting entities.
Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed across operations, including Cycle Counting, First-Expire First-Out (FEFO), Loss Control, and Inventory shrinkage.
Reconcile physical and systematic inventory against external stakeholder records including USDA, FDACS, and other donors.
Coordinate with the Finance department to reconcile inventory records to the general ledger for financial reporting.
Prepare and analyze KPI reports to maximize effective product rotation and reduce waste.
Coordinate with warehouse operators to stage inventory for audits and cycle counts.
Apply company problem-solving methodology to identify root causes of inventory issues and implement corrective actions.
Maintain records on inventory levels and valuation using inventory management systems.
Schedule and lead regular inventory meetings with appropriate stakeholders
Assist management with inventory-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical, data interpretation, planning, and problem-solving skills required.
Excellent computer skills with a working knowledge of MS Suite; Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
High-level Excel aptitude required : able to create complex formulas and Pivot tables.
Minimum five years of inventory management experience preferred.
Strong computer proficiency including inventory control systems required (database management preferred, Primarius or Ceres experience a plus).
Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
Ability to work with diverse staff and external constituencies required.
Experience with A3 problem-solving or Lean methodology preferred.
Commitment to the service of others while fully supporting the organization’s mission and values required.
APICS certification a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
Hours of Operation : Organization hours are Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. – 5 : 00 p.m. This position may work additional hours occasionally throughout the year, especially during peak times such as holiday seasons and disaster response.
Environment : This position works primarily in an office setting with frequent visits to the warehouse. Must maintain office safety standards. The noise in the work environment is usually moderate.
Travel : This position may have occasional travel for meetings, conferences, or special events which may require the use of a personal vehicle.
OSHA Standards : Lifting requirements are 50 pounds and when lifting loads heavier than 50 pounds, use two or more people to lift the load.
