Summary
- The Lead Professional Officer is responsible for managing a caseload of clients seeking assistance to alleviate homelessness and explore housing options. This role involves overseeing a portfolio of temporary accommodations, ensuring compliance with contract terms, and meeting Health and Safety standards as well as Council requirements.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary contact for clients, providing comprehensive housing management services to homeless households in temporary accommodations.Act as a liaison for landlords, managing and provisioning temporary accommodations, and ensuring efficient allocation and minimal void periods.Resolve disputes between landlords and tenants, monitor progress on necessary works, and address disrepair issues promptly.Provide clients with appropriate advice on housing options, either directly or through referrals, and guide them in choice-based lettings bidding strategies.Essential Experience
Demonstrable experience in advising customers within a housing or similar service.Experience managing a housing patch or caseload in areas such as tenancy management, property management, or income management.Essential Qualifications
Knowledge of the Housing Reduction Act 2017 and experience as a Housing Options Officer.Proficiency in literacy and numeracy.Additional Information
