Job Title : RN - Med Surg / Tele

Facility : Auburn Community Hospital

Shift : 07 : 00 AM - 07 : 30 PM (12-hour shifts)

Start Date : 02 / 11 / 2025

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (ends 01 / 31 / 2026)

Certifications and Licenses :

Valid New York State (NYS) Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required

NIHSS Certification required prior to start

Six (6) continuing education (CEU) hours on Stroke-related topics required prior to start

Additional Requirements :

Must have at least 2 years of experience in Med Surg / Telemetry.

Ability to interpret own telemetry strips accurately.

IV experience is necessary; please note the facility does not have a dedicated IV team.

Willingness to float to other units as needed.

Travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Every other weekend shift coverage required.

The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts at no cost during the assignment duration.

What You Bring :

Proven clinical excellence in Med Surg / Telemetry units with at least 2 years of experience.

Strong assessment skills and the ability to handle a fast-paced hospital environment.

Competency in interpreting telemetry strips, with knowledge of cardiac rhythms.

Flexibility and adaptability to float across units, ensuring patient care continuity.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Valid NYS RN license and current certifications in BLS and ACLS.

Preferred Education & Experience :

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Prior experience in a hospital setting with floating assignments is advantageous.

Travel nursing experience, demonstrating adaptability to various hospital environments.
