We are looking for an experienced Credit Analyst to join our team in Brookfield, Wisconsin. This role will focus on managing credit and underwriting operations for small-ticket loans and equipment leases, while also contributing to the company’s strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial credit analysis and leadership, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee credit and underwriting processes for small-ticket loans and equipment leases, ranging from $10,000 to $250,000 or more.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of credit analysts and underwriters, including setting credit authorities and training programs.
- Review and approve complex transactions, ensuring they align with company guidelines while addressing exceptions when necessary.
- Develop and implement scalable credit scoring models and automated underwriting systems to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams to ensure timely processing and an exceptional customer experience.
- Monitor portfolio performance, focusing on delinquency rates and loss metrics, and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and prepare for annual audits.
- Update and refine Ideal Customer profiles on a regular basis to align with business needs.
- Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to strategic planning and risk management initiatives.
- At least 10 years of senior-level experience in commercial credit and underwriting within equipment finance or small business lending.
- Extensive knowledge of credit risk assessment, financial statement analysis, and collateral evaluation.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of credit professionals.
- Experience working in a bank or independent lender environment specializing in loans and leases ranging from $10,000 to $250,000.
- Familiarity with small business credit scoring models, secured lending practices, and relevant regulatory filings.
- Strong decision-making skills with a balance of analytical expertise and business judgment.
- Proficiency in using loan origination systems and credit automation tools is preferred.
