About the Role

The Company is in search of a Divisional Vice President of Medicine to spearhead the medical operations strategy for its East Division. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and influential veterinary medical leader, responsible for overseeing and directing clinical quality, medical excellence, team-based care, and clinical productivity in partnership with the Divisional Vice President of Operations. This role involves leading and developing a team of medical directors and ensuring the creation of a talent pipeline to support organizational growth and high standards of patient safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for elevating the standard of care, developing and coaching medical leaders, and using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to optimize clinical teams while maintaining sustainable business performance.

Candidates for the Divisional Vice President of Medicine position at the company should have a Bachelor’s Degree, DVM, and successful completion of a 1-year rotating internship, with at least 10 years of clinical practice as an emergency or board-certified specialty clinician. A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role with oversight of multiple hospitals and / or revenues exceeding $100MM is required. The role demands a leader with a strong business acumen, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record in decision-making. The DVPM will be expected to exemplify the company's values, ensure the development of medical leaders, and maintain a positive and engaging work environment.
