Estimated Salary Range : $74,430 - $101,790 annually ( $39.75-$54.25 / hour )

As a Full-Time RN in the ED , you'll be at the frontline of urgent and emergent care-playing a critical role in rapid assessments, life-saving interventions, and patient stabilization.

Emergency RN Job Responsibilities

Deliver Responsive, Life-Saving Care :

Assess, triage, and treat patients across the lifespan in a high-volume emergency setting. Perform interventions with speed, precision, and compassion.

Monitor Patient Stability :

Continuously evaluate and document vital signs, symptoms, and treatment responses. Initiate emergency protocols as needed to preserve life and prevent deterioration.

Collaborate with ED Teams :

Work closely with emergency physicians, techs, and specialty staff to execute care plans and respond to rapidly evolving patient needs.

Provide Emotional Support & Education :

Offer clear communication to patients and families in high-stress situations. Educate them on discharge instructions and follow-up care.

Maintain Safe, Efficient Workflow :

Follow all emergency care protocols, infection control practices, and documentation standards. Assist with flow and transitions of care within the unit.

Requirements

Licensure & Certifications :

• Active RN license in New York State (or eligible / limited permit)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS strongly preferred (or must obtain within 6 months)
