Job Description

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in DBT , Snowflake , and Healthy Planet (Epic) to join our remote team. This role is critical to supporting both our legacy data systems and the development of a new, modern data architecture.

We recently completed a migration from on-premise systems to Snowflake , and are now focusing on enhancing core data components-especially around provider and member data-and integrating them into broader systems, including Epic and Milliman Insights . The initiative includes rebuilding foundational data structures while maintaining continuity in existing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using DBT , Snowflake , and Azure Data Factory
  • Build new foundational data objects centered on provider and member data
  • Support both legacy operations and greenfield projects in a hybrid data environment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement scalable data solutions
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term data strategy
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance in a high-impact healthcare environment

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong expertise in DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation workflows
  • dvanced proficiency with Snowflake cloud data warehouse
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory for data ingestion and orchestration
  • Background in healthcare data, particularly the Healthy Planet module within Epic
  • bility to work at an architectural level-designing, planning, and executing scalable data solutions
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Nice to Have

  • Experience working with Milliman Insights or other third-party analytics vendors
  • Familiarity with data governance and healthcare compliance standards
  • Prior experience supporting large-scale healthcare data migrations or rebuilds
