Job Description :

The Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering at the University of Florida (UF) invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, faculty member in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) with credentials to join at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.

We are seeking individuals with expertise in various ISE and / or interdisciplinary methods with focus in smart manufacturing (Industry 4.0). Areas of application include, but are not limited to, additive manufacturing, industrialized construction and infrastructure, semiconductors, space, aerospace, robotics, agriculture, sustainable manufacturing practices, supply chain operations, agile and / or in-situ quality assurance modeling, and structural health monitoring.

Duties and responsibilities include :

• Establishing a robust research program
• Developing a high-quality publication record at UF
• Supervising Ph.D. students
• Teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses in ISE

Outstanding candidates will be considered for available endowed appointments (faculty fellowships) at the time of offer.

The ideal candidate would have :

UF ISE offers BS, ME, MS, and Ph.D. degrees. We have approximately 415 undergraduate students and about 180 graduate students. The Department hosts research in various application areas including advanced manufacturing, energy systems, healthcare systems, manufacturing systems, supply chain systems, and transportation systems. We also currently host methodological research in data analytics, machine learning, human systems engineering, optimization, simulation, and stochastic analysis. Expected Salary :

Minimum Requirements :

PhD from distinct engineering disciplines (in addition to Industrial and Systems Engineering) and related fields (e.g., computer science and statistics).
