KISL 88.7 FM is hiring : News broadcasting in Oklahoma City

Hours : Three to Seven Days / Week, approximately 30 minutes per day.

KISL 88.7 FM in Avalon, CA (www.kislavalon.com) seeks a motivated, articulate News Intern to file daily updates related to Catalina Island for broadcast. The News Intern will :

• Research news related to Catalina Island including fishing, marine biology, tourism, and environmental issues using internet resources.
• Create an informative and entertaining 60-180 second audio report.
• Upload the audio report to our station computer for broadcast.

The audio reports can be created on a smartphone or on a desktop / laptop computer. The intern does not need to live on Catalina Island and may work from anywhere in the United States. Familiarity with Catalina Island and Avalon is a plus. This is an outstanding opportunity for the right person to gain actual on-air experience as a news broadcaster.

This is an unpaid internship.
