Our fast-growing firm is seeking a detail-oriented, driven, and highly organized Government Relations Coordinator to join our Capitol Hill headquarters. This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for recent graduates with a strong interest in government affairs, public policy, and advocacy — offering tremendous career growth potential in a fast-paced environment. 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
What You’ll Do :
- Client & Lobbying Support : Assist lobbyists with client management, schedule and attend Capitol Hill meetings, and manage smaller client accounts to achieve their goals.
- Administrative Management : Oversee day-to-day operations for a firm of 4+ lobbyists with ~40 clients, maintain meticulous records, track multiple bills per client, handle compliance reporting, and support financial transactions.
- Project & Event Coordination : Organize internal events, client gatherings, and advocacy days; manage office logistics including supplies, IT, and utilities.
- Communications & Documentation : Draft weekly / monthly reports, create visual materials in Canva, develop informational packets, maintain legislative tracking tools, update website content, and coordinate professional photography.
- Internship Program Leadership : Recruit, onboard, and supervise interns for multiple terms, ensuring a meaningful and educational experience.
What We’re Looking For :
Bachelor’s degree with either 1 year of relevant experience or multiple relevant internships.Exceptional writing and research skills.Solid understanding of the legislative and regulatory process.Highly organized with excellent scheduling and record-keeping abilities.This is an excellent role for someone ready to make an impact, learn quickly, and grow within the government relations field.
Salary range is 50-60K with strong commission structure for business development.
