What to Expect
Tesla's Manufacturing Test Engineering group is seeking a highly motivated hands-on Technical Program Manager to drive development of custom manufacturing equipment with mechanical, electrical, controls and software engineers. As a Technical Program Manager for this team, you'll be part of the group responsible for developing manufacturing testing equipment for Optimus and other Tesla products. A very exciting role where you will interact with product designers, firmware engineers, manufacturing engineers, supply chain, and production.
You will interface with cross functional teams to identify and define product constraints and identify key change items. You will help to define and drive the development, validation, and implementation of custom manufacturing equipment to various factories around the world. You will communicate and present project status, highlight schedule risk, motivate the team to meet aggressive deadlines, and develop recovery plans in the event of project slip.
What You\'ll Do
- Accountable for creating, maintaining, and communicating schedules and plans for developing and deploying custom manufacturing equipment to meet start of production and ramp
- Drive action with internal and cross functional teams to successfully complete projects within time, budget, and resource constraints
- Track project progress and report effectively on status, blockers, and changes to plan of record with effective communication channels to all stakeholders
- Identify creative and timely solutions to key program challenges
- Track resourcing of projects and drive resource balancing between different program priorities
- Advise and develop systems and best practices for communication and change management
- Complete appropriate documentation and ensure accuracy of data across Tesla systems (Confluence, JIRA, Microsoft SharePoint, Polarion, SolidWorks PDM)

$88,000 - $186,000 annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
