About The Position

• Holiday RTO will be considered, however not guaranteed
• Unit : ICU- # beds : 16 and can go to 20 beds- Certs : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS and CCRN preferred- Ratios : 1 : 1, 1 : 2- EMR : Cerner- Charge Nurse : yes and doesn't carry patients- Nurse Aides : No- Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend & would be required to fill in gaps in wknd schedule- Call : Must be within 30 minutes of hospital; driven by census and call would always be a shift originally scheduled and got put on call- Holidays : Work in to the holiday schedule- Scrub Color : Navy- Tele : Phillips- Vents : Yes Draeger Vents - per RT- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house : 24 hr intensivist (on call at night)- IV Team : IV team during the day- RT 24 / 7 : Yes - Pharmacy 24 / 7 : Yes- Shifts : depending on census / staffing mismatch nurse could be on call (30 minute response time) 8s & 12s (mostly 12s)Floating : float to tele 4 to 1 - Floor specific orientation : 2 shifts in ICU then on own 3rd shift- Common diagnosis / Types of patients : Adults & Peds - MedSurg, Neuro, Balloon pumps (perm staff does, if have experience will do class & bedside check-off), cranies, occasional ICP, CABG, some trauma that aren't transferred out, psych - OD, peds minor / DKA, TPA, hypothermia, ECMO, Impalla, CRRT - PrismaFlex (perm staff does, if have experience will do class & bedside check-off), TAVR, & EVAR, may start doing carotid stenting, ECOS, IABP (not required to be able to do would have to get checked off)- Additional Notes : Must have 2 years of ICU experience Cancellation can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13 week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting BSN License to Trauma Level : Care Shift , EOW first to float Required , BLS, NIHSS Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Contract Weeks : 91
