Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of trauma experience and required certifications for a weekend shift position.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a level 2 trauma center Cat Scan department servicing an inner city community
  • Handles adult and pediatric trauma and stroke cases
  • Procedures include general CT, angiograms, strokes, trauma scans, and IR procedure scanning
  • Department collaborates closely with the Emergency Department
  • Uses 3 CT scanners (2 GE units in Main CT, 1 Toshiba unit in the ED)
  • Experience with GE and Toshiba CT scanners preferred
  • Uses Cerner for charting; Cerner experience preferred
  • Scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 10 : 00 AM to 11 : 00 PM (3x12s, day shift)
  • No on-call or floating required
  • Holidays required
  • First time travelers will be considered
  • Scrubs must be black top and black bottom; short white lab coat is optional
  • Candidates living within 50 miles are accepted at a lower rate
  • References required for consideration
  • No parking fee at Wayne location; Paterson location parking is $50 / month
  • ID badge fee is $10

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of Cat Scan / CT experience in a trauma setting required
  • Current BLS, ARRT, and NJDEP certifications required
  • Trauma and stroke CT experience required
  • Valid state license required if applicable
  • Cerner charting experience preferred
  • Flu vaccine required or proof of religious / medical exemption
