Axios is a media company dedicated to providing trustworthy, award-winning news content in an audience-first format. We are hiring a Director, Client Partnerships to join our growing advocacy and associations advertising team in DC and will report to the Head of Public Affairs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with advocacy groups, non-profits, policy organizations, and related agencies and stakeholders.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Axios, representing the company at events and within the advocacy community.
- Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities to drive revenue and expand Axios\'s presence in the advocacy space.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure the successful execution of partnership initiatives.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in sales, partnerships, or business development within the advocacy, non-profit, or policy sectors.Deep understanding of the advocacy landscape in Washington, D.C., with established relationships with key stakeholders.Familiarity with digital media and online marketing technologies.Proven track record of developing large advertising partnerships and managing a diverse portfolio of clients.Exceptionally collaborative, both within your own team and cross-functionallyWillingness to travel and attend industry events and networking engagementsGrowth mindset with hunger to constantly learn and improve your craftStrong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to develop strategic campaigns that align with partner objectives.Comfortable with a mix of outbound sales strategy as well as the nurturing of inbound leads and existing client relationshipsAbility to synthesize market feedback to inform product and strategySalary and Benefits
Starting salary for this role is in the range of $95,000 - $105,000 and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills. This range does not include other compensation and benefits. Total compensation includes incremental variable compensation based on sales territory, contingent upon the successful achievement of predetermined sales targets.
