We are seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Life Care Center of Kansas City - skilled nursing facility in Kansas City, KS, this role is vital in helping our residents achieve optimal communication and swallowing functions, aligning with our commitment to quality patient-centered care.

• Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for residents.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Support residents' communication and swallowing needs through therapy sessions.
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain detailed records.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on speech and language health.
• Stay updated with the latest therapy techniques and industry standards.
• Participate in facility meetings to improve overall patient outcomes.
• Qualifications
• Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Proven experience in pediatrics or adult rehabilitation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques and medical terminology.
• Excellent assessment and communication skills.
• Compassionate approach to patient care.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to speech therapy.
• Experience with early intervention programs is a plus.
