Job Objective :
The primary responsibilities for this role include providing expert guidance on electronic controls during project installations for contractors and customers, while serving as a key liaison between BAADER technicians, management, and clients to ensure smooth communication and execution. Success in this position requires strong organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team environment.
This position requires travel at least 80% of the time.
Major Job Functions :
- Lead on-site BAADER projects with a focus on industrial electronic controls.
- Interpret PLC code and configure trend setups for effective troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to HMIs, PLCs, and safety controllers.
- Establish and troubleshoot remote connectivity using advanced networking technologies such as VLAN, VPN, and NAT.
- Read and understand electrical schematics to accurately guide technicians.
- Develop training materials and deliver instruction for large-scale electronic installations and core BAADER equipment.
- Conduct follow-up wellness visits to ensure optimal performance of major installations.
- Provide technical support both on-site and remotely.
- Perform periodic backups of all electronic systems, requiring travel, and organize files systematically on the server.
- Set up, maintain, and dismantle electronic machinery for trade shows.
- Generate and submit organized weekly progress reports while on-site until project completion.
- Collaborate with BAADER offices in Denmark, Holland, and Germany to ensure successful project execution.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operational and project goals.
- Qualifications :
Minimum Education :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, with a strong emphasis on programming coursework.\
Years of Experience :
A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in industrial controls and programming is required. Prior experience in the poultry, fish, or meat processing industry is strongly preferred.
Minimum Skills Required :
Proficient with Studio 5000 for trends, AB PLCs, HMIs, and VFDsSkilled in remote connectivity (EWON, Secomea)Able to program / troubleshoot safety controllersNetwork setup / troubleshooting experience (managed switches, wireless)Read and edit electrical schematicsOrganized in documenting and backing up programsLead work effectively and diplomaticallyTroubleshoot moderate issues and present solutionsCreate basic reports and perform simple mathWilling to travel at least 80%Performance Expectations :
