Job Summary
The Mechanical Technician Trainee (or experienced Mechanical Technician) supports maintenance and production operations by ensuring the timely delivery and upkeep of mechanical equipment. This role focuses on improving maintenance efficiency, minimizing downtime, and maintaining compliance with reliability-centered maintenance programs.
Job Description
- Tear down, clean, and reassemble tools and equipment used in field operations (wash bay, power washing, disassembly).
- Perform basic mechanical maintenance using standard hand tools (drills, grinders, etc.).
- Support troubleshooting and repair activities to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Record maintenance data accurately in computerized maintenance systems.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance asset utilization and reduce turnaround time.
- Assist with failure investigations and implement corrective actions as assigned.
- Follow safety procedures and adhere to all company and maintenance base standards.
S kills Required
Minimum of 1 year of work experience preferred; entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.Strong willingness to learn and follow detailed maintenance processes.Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook).Experience with maintenance management systems is a plus.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.PPE provided : hard hat and standard safety glasses.Employees must provide steel-toed boots and prescription safety glasses if needed.No formal certifications required.Experience operating cranes or forklifts is helpful; certification renewal available if needed.Education
High school diploma or equivalent required;Pay Rate
