We are currently seeking resumes from qualified, responsible, self-sufficient, Rail Track Designer’s for our offices in California (Sacramento and Irvine). The ideal candidate will be motivated to develop and build their personal knowledge and skills to assist with the growth and success of the office. Job Description : Duties :

  • Assist in the development of high-quality track geometry and track design for rail and transit projects.
  • Assist in the production track geometry design plans and specification. design calculations, quantities, cost estimates, and specifications
  • Assist in performing QA / QC on each deliverable per project specific QA / QC procedure
  • Attend team meetings
  • Assist in project work plan including schedule, budget and resource
  • Support the design engineering manager, track design manager, senior track design lead through the entire project
  • Collaborate with other disciplines during project design and construction phases.
  • Support planning and reviewing of project schedule
  • Support our International Railway Department in overseas projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills) :

  • Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or in a related field
  • 2 years of design experience preferred
  • Experience using either MicroStation Inroads, MicroStation PowerRail, MicroStation Openrail or AutoCAD Civil 3D design
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Office
  • Experience with Digital tools (Revit, Navisworks, etc.) is a plus
  • Primavera and Project Wise software is a plus
  • Valid Driver's License, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrier

  • Working Conditions and Environment :

    This position will require general supervision and will have to use independent judgment within established guidelines. Generally uses the advanced knowledge to analyze, interpret, or make deductions from varying facts or circumstances. Will need the ability to establish rapport quickly with others working on the same project, and be able to promote a positive team environment. Working knowledge of dealing with a diverse population while using tact, diplomacy, and respect.
