This unique unit specializes in psychiatric care for geriatric patients but functions as a medical unit — meaning many patients are admitted for psychiatric reasons while also requiring management of coexisting medical conditions and mobility challenges. This role is ideal for an RN who is comfortable balancing both psych and medical-surgical care , providing comprehensive support to an older adult population. Requirements Active Georgia RN license (required) CPI certification (required) BLS certification (preferred) Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience Medical-Surgical experience required Strong clinical assessment, communication, and crisis management skills Assignment Details Night shift (rotating weekends) Geriatric psychiatric patients with co-morbid medical conditions Collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment Compensation & Benefits $19 / hr (taxed) $34 / hr (non-taxed stipend) $53 / hr blended total Weekly direct deposit About the Unit This Geri-Psych unit provides compassionate, structured care to older adults facing psychiatric and medical challenges.
