Responsibilities Work in the ICU within a hospital setting Night shift schedule : 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30 Care for patients requiring mechanical ventilation, arterial lines, vasoactive drips, sedation, chest tubes, and flotrac monitoring Patient population includes those needing intensive critical care interventions Floating required within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed Level 1 trauma experience is required for most units Expected to manage critically ill patients with advanced support equipment and therapies May be required to take call with a 1-hour response time, including both weekday and weekend shifts Orientation modules must be completed during onboarding and annually First-time travelers will have their rehire eligibility reviewed prior to assignment Returning travelers must have a gap of at least 90 days from previous employment Requirements Active KY or compact RN license required prior to consideration Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience No licensure issues will be accepted Must provide at least one reference from a charge nurse or supervisor Candidates must have completed any previous employment at the facility at least 90 days prior to assignment Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-640095.
