Job Description

The Machinists Institute (MI) is a 501c3 nonprofit established by the International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers District 751. MI provides world-class training for current and future aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing workers, focusing on living-wage career opportunities through advanced education and training.

The Training & Enrollment Coordinator is a detail-oriented and organized professional responsible for supporting student enrollment and tracking for all training courses, including on-hour and off-hour sessions. This role coordinates communications with students, manages payment processes and ensures the smooth delivery of training programs. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized and able to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

Location : Everett, WA

Reports to : Regional Director of Operations

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively promote upcoming classes and trainings to potential students through multiple distribution channels.
  • Provide guidance to students on enrollment processes and track student responses and enrollment in Excel.
  • Coordinate payment processes with both students and employers depending on class structure
  • Maintain accurate records of enrollment, payments, and waitlists.
  • Provide excellent customer service to first-time as well as returning students to ensure they have all pertinent information prior to class start.
  • Communicate regularly with regional Director and instructors to ensure attendance, completion of courses and tracking of students
  • Support additional student enrollment processes and administrative duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data tracking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in training administration, student services, or related administrative support preferred.
  • Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Canvas or other learning management systems (LMS).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and other communication tools.
  • Knowledge of student information systems or enrollment platforms.
  • Ability to create professional communications for student outreach.
  • Prior experience supporting workforce training or adult education programs.

    Salary and Benefits

    The starting salary for the position will be negotiated upon potential hire and will be commensurate with the experience level of the candidate.
