About The Position

Job Title : Registered Polysomnographic Technologist

Profession : Sleep Technologist

Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM

Hours per Shift : 36

Experience : 1+ Years Required

License : Licensed to practice Respiratory Care in the state of Ohio (preferred)

Certifications : Registered Polysomnographic Technologist certification (RST or RPSGT) Required, BLS (AHA) Required

Description :

Functioning within the mission, values, objectives, policies, and procedures.

Under general supervision of the medical director / physician.

Provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders.

Includes sleep apnea testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

Involves comprehensive patient care and direct patient education.

Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing, and integrating patient information to meet patient-specific needs.

Determines final testing parameters in conjunction with the physician and established protocols.

Reviews patient history and verifies medical orders.

Provides age-appropriate patient education.

Selects appropriate equipment and calibrates for testing.

Applies electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards.

Performs routine positive airway pressure (PAP) interface fitting and desensitization.
