About The Position

Experience : 18 months to 2 years of ICU RN experience

License : Registered Nurse License

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

Experience with stroke assessments and cardiac rhythm interpretation

Proficiency in managing critical care drips and chest tubes

Ability for ventilator management and trach care

Skill in medication management including titration of critical care drips

Capable of performing 12-lead EKGs and wound care

Description :

The role involves providing high-quality care to critically ill patients.

Nurses will manage a diverse range of patient conditions, including sepsis, COPD, and cardiac issues.

Patient ratios may be dependent on acuity, usually 1 : 2-3, with some assignments involving a mix of ICU and Med / Tele patients.

The unit comprises 10 ICU beds and 4 PCU beds, used only in surge capacity.

Supportive resources will include a house supervisor and charge nurse.

The hospital has a commitment to advanced stroke care.

Clinical staff will collaborate with intensivists who are present during weekdays.

In urgent situations, established protocols for intubation and emergencies will be followed.

There is an opportunity to float within various departments and facilities based on patient care needs.

Scheduling includes a weekend rotation and holiday expectations.
