Position Overview

The Physician Extender (NP or PA) at the Naval Hospital will provide high-quality healthcare services to patients in a collaborative environment. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive medical care in the Emergency Department, supporting physicians in various aspects of patient care, and ensuring adherence to best practices in a military healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients in the Emergency Department.
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare team members.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as required.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
