Golf Admissions Counselor

Reporting to the Director of Admissions at the Keiser University Flagship Residential Campus, KU Flagship is seeking a Golf Admissions Counselor who will engage and inform prospective students via phone, e-mail, and text communication, guiding them through the enrollment process in a student-focused approach tailored to our College of Golf Students.

DUTIES & TASKS :

After the Counselor achieves initial contact with prospective students, they will continue to guide and educate them through the entire enrollment process. As a KU Admissions Counselor, you must demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members, faculty, students, alumni, administration, and staff.

As the primary contact, the Admissions Counselor is responsible for a positive new student experience by building a relationship with prospective students and their families through outreach and follow-up, answering questions regarding the admissions process, degree requirements, program information, and campus policies, and procedures.

As part of a high-performing team, an Admissions Counselor must :

• Assist students in finding the right program by reaching out to new and prospective students by implementing a phone / text / email contact strategy.
• Be responsible for guiding prospective and new students through the residential admissions process and classroom environment while maintaining outstanding attention to detail through accuracy and follow-up in the CRM / student database.
• Meet department goals for phone productivity, applicant contact, enrollment and retention targets, and call quality.
• Overcome objections to applying or completing the admissions process.
• Attend training sessions for updates pertaining to programs, services, and residential requirements.
• Ability to follow directions and successfully complete tasks in accordance with supervisory input and constructive criticism.
• Ability to work independently and promote the University in a positive manner.
• Must be available to participate in traditional university traditions and campus events.
• Thrive in a fast-paced team environment and demonstrate a passion for higher education.
• Educate prospective students on time commitments, technology, and study skills required to be a successful college student.
• Possess the key attributes of integrity, flexibility, and initiative.
• Generate prospective student referrals from existing students, alumni, staff, and members of the community.
• Have a flexible schedule to accommodate some weekend and evening recruitment hours.
