Overview

This Position reports to : Production Engineering Manager

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support production process definition to ensure optimization of cost, quality, and on-time delivery of product. Each day, you will participate in the sequence definition, cycle time calculation, and analysis of the working phases of new production processes / products. You will also showcase your expertise by sharing cycle time data with internal teams.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in Pinetops, NC.

Responsibilities

• Focusing on keeping automation line working with minimum downtime and design and implement improvements to prevent issues (develop spare parts plan, routine controls and checks on automation stations and robots, operators training on autonomous maintenance, etc.)
• Working hand on hand with others team member for the detection, design and implementation of Kaizen improvement ideas for the Factory.
• Driving improvements focusing on workstations design & build up, cycle time calculation, timing, ergonomics, fixturing, tooling, layout design, material / product flow and automation, that will lead to efficiency, productivity, HSE and Quality goals.
• Hands on design and execution of improvements, build up and set up on the factory.
• Defining action plans and training maintenance and production resources to ensure smooth implementation of new processes.
• Preparing technical documentation and ensuring optimal efficiency in methods, performance and materials / components.
