Position Overview The Superintendent oversees and directs the performance of all field construction activities for assigned crews regarding plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and submit a three-week look-ahead schedule by end of day Thursday each week.
- Attend weekly scheduling meetings with updated and accurate project information.
- Collaborate effectively with Project Managers to monitor and manage project budgets throughout the project duration.
- Schedule subcontractors with adequate advance notice to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain and update project schedules weekly, notifying Project Managers and General Superintendents of any deviations from the original plan.
- Coordinate with the Concrete Division to confirm job readiness.
- Develop and maintain a master schedule for each project.
Approve all employee time entries by 5 :
00 PM each Monday (mandatory).Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of crew members as needed.Ensure full compliance with OSHA and Moss safety policies and procedures; exercise Stop Work Authority when necessary.Respond promptly to all phone calls—within minutes, not hours.If unavailable, send a text message to acknowledge receipt.Review project plans with the Foreman to verify accuracy, material needs, and subcontractor coordination.Schedule equipment, fuel, and tools with a minimum of 72 hours’ notice.Review all safety documentation and ensure implementation of best safety practices on site.Hold Foremen accountable for their job duties and adherence to safety standards.Monitor work quality, materials on site, and identify potential schedule conflicts proactively.Build and maintain positive relationships with Inspectors and General Contractors through consistent daily communication.Verify that BaseCamp is updated in accordance with the outline provided by the VP of Field Operations.Ensure that Operators complete equipment inspection reports accurately by reviewing both the reports and the physical machines for verification.Support a positive safety culture Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications :
