Position Summary
Provides compassionate, person-centered support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and related tasks to promote residents’ dignity, safety, independence, and quality of life. Collaborates with nursing and engagement teams and documents care in the electronic record.
Assists residents in their Activities of Daily Living (ADL) tasks as needed and directed. This could include bathing, grooming, personal and dental hygiene, transportation to meals and activities, bowel and bladder functions (e.g., take to bathroom, portable commode, change incontinence products, etc.), shaving, dressing, hair care, and laundry tasks. All tasks and duties as described or documented in the resident’s service plan
Provides resident comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting residents; answering resident’s call lights in a timely manner; reporting observations of the resident to nursing supervisor
Responds to resident’s needs promptly while maintaining each resident’s self- respect, personal dignity, personal safety and confidentiality
Assists residents in and out of bed and wheelchair as needed, following safe lifting / transferring techniques
Assists Engagement staff in carrying out planned activities
Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records electronically
Uses Universal Precautions and follows established policies concerning exposure to blood / body fluids
Serves and protects the community by adhering to professional standards, community policies and procedures, state and local requirements
Updates job knowledge by participating in education opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations and maintaining certification / licensure
Maintains a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents and guests, following established safety standards
Adheres to all mandated reporting requirements and communicates concerns to the person in charge
Physical Qualifications including : Walk / stand, sit, lift 50 lbs at least, carry, push, climb, bend, squat, twist or rotate, reach, hand dexterity, etc.

Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED required.
Prior caregiving experience in senior living, home health, or healthcare setting preferred.
State-specific credential (e.g., STNA / CNA / HHA) preferred or required per community / state regulations.
CPR / First Aid preferred; willingness to obtain within 30–60 days if required.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred.
Strong communication, patience, and customer-service skills; able to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Ability to follow detailed care plans, document accurately, and escalate concerns promptly.
Dementia / Alzheimer’s care experience or training is a plus.
