Role : Data Architect

Location : Washington DC

Over all 12+ years of experience, Must have Top Security clearence.

Experience :

Minimum 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data management.

At least 3+ years of experience designing and implementing data architectures in support of analytics, business intelligence, or enterprise systems.

Prior experience working with federal agencies or large-scale organizations preferred.

Master’s degree in Data Architecture, Data Analytics, or related discipline preferred

JOB Duties :

Design and develop a comprehensive data architecture framework to support OIG’s future data engineering, analytics, and data-driven decision-making activities.

Assess the current OIG data architecture, document findings, and provide actionable recommendations for enhancements and modernization.

Advise the OIG Program Manager on gaps, risks, and issues within existing processes, policies, and practices that could limit the effective deployment of data solutions.

Identify and analyze major pain points and external factors affecting stakeholders and propose strategies for resolution.

Conduct market research, stakeholder interviews, and discussion groups to build a holistic understanding of the data landscape.

Develop and execute a Data Architecture Services and Support project plan and schedule, including milestones, timelines, decision points, and checkpoints.

Create detailed “as-is” and “to-be” architecture documentation, supported by process flows and technical specifications.

Coordinate closely with the TPOC and stakeholders to finalize project plans, roles, responsibilities, and deliverables.

Provide regular updates, notify the COR / TPOC / stakeholders when milestones are achieved, and organize reviews, demonstrations, and user testing.

Monitor compliance with the approved project plan and proactively escalate issues impacting timelines or deliverables to the COR / TPOC for mitigation.
