About The Position

Location : Austin, Texas, USA Specialty : PACU - Post Anesthetic Care Type : Travel Schedule : 4x10s Nights shift Time : 13 Weeks

Seven Healthcare is seeking a reliable and experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a 13-week PACU assignment in Austin, Texas. Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse

  • Provide post-anesthesia recovery care for surgical patients
  • Monitor vital signs and assess patient status during the immediate post-op period
  • Administer medications and manage IVs as ordered
  • Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate as needed
  • Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesia providers, and other nurses
  • Educate patients and families regarding post-op care and discharge instructions
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow all PACU protocols
  • Requirements of the Travel Nurse

  • Active RN license (Texas or compact state)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • PALS preferred (depending on facility)
  • Minimum of 2 years' recent PACU or critical care experience
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently on night shifts in a high-acuity environment
