Key ICU Nursing Job Details Location : Elizabethtown, Kentucky 42701 Healthcare Setting : Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Type : Travel Nursing Contract Start Date : December 15, 2025 End Date : March 16, 2026 Contract Length : 13 weeks Shift : Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM) Weekly Hours : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $2020–$2070 Patient Population : Adults, Geriatrics Charting System : Epic EMR Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky or compact state Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience Prior travel nursing experience required BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) NIHSS certification Proficient in CRRT and IABP Experience with Epic charting system Ability to provide two professional references COVID-19 vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions considered) ICU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients with multisystem organ dysfunction / failure Operate and manage advanced ICU equipment : CRRT (Prismax), IABP, Impella, Arctic Sun, Vigileo monitoring Assist with procedures : intubation, central / arterial line insertion, chest tube placement, paracentesis, thoracentesis, bedside EGD Administer and titrate IV drips, vasoactive medications, and continuous IV sedation Interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias; manage ventilated patients and airway care Implement isolation precautions and infection control protocols Document patient care using Epic EMR Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams : IV, respiratory, rapid response, pharmacy, transportation Float to other hospital units as needed Discover rewarding ICU nursing jobs in Kentucky and experience the charm of Elizabethtown while making a difference in patient care.
