Title : EHS & Safety Coordinator
Shift : Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm
Salary : Based on experience, $70,000k
The EHS & Safety Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Environmental, Health, and Safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This is a hands-on role focused on training, auditing, and continuous improvement in EHS performance while working with leadership and employees to promote a strong safety culture.
Core Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enforce safety policies, procedures, and programs.
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across the facility.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and relevant state regulations.
Oversee waste disposal processes, including proper labeling, storage, and transport.
Maintain environmental permits and ensure all reporting deadlines are met.
Support industrial hygiene initiatives such as noise monitoring and ergonomics evaluations.
Manage hearing conservation, respiratory protection, and other PPE programs.
Conduct EHS training for new hires and ongoing employee refresher sessions.
Track and analyze safety metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Candidate Requirements
Possess an Associate or bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Environmental Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Have 3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
Willingness to travel up to 30% to various locations.

Preferred
Hold a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification.
Possess a Hazwoper 40-hour certification.
Reporting & Next Steps
Reporting : This role will report to a member of our client's leadership team and will coordinate monthly safety committee meetings with employee representatives.
