Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT (CT), BLS, and 2 years of experience for a weekend hospital position with potential floating requirements.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is based in a hospital setting with shifts in the computerized tomography (CT) department
  • Work schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6 : 30 a.m. to 7 : 00 p.m.
  • Contract duration is 13 weeks
  • May involve working in a fixed hospital unit or ambulatory mobile unit as needed
  • Possibility to float to a nearby sister hospital
  • Patient population includes those requiring CT imaging and diagnostic procedures
  • Utilizes PACS and RIS systems for imaging and study management
  • Duties include performing CT scans, explaining procedures, administering IV contrast, and assisting radiologists with complex procedures
  • Responsible for maintaining and preparing equipment, managing supplies, and ensuring proper radiation safety
  • Regularly interact with patients to gather history, ensure comfort, and monitor for potential reactions to contrast
  • Must complete all imaging documentation in medical records and radiology information systems as required
  • Applicants should demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, initiative, and commitment to customer service
  • Physical demands include occasional lifting or moving of equipment or patients over 10 lbs and working with potentially contagious individuals or high-voltage equipment

  • Active ARRT (CT) and BLS (AHA) certifications required
  • Active Michigan radiologic technologist license required if applicable
  • Minimum of 2 years of CT experience required
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Must complete online modules and pass required testing prior to start date
  • COVID vaccination is mandatory
