This remote role requires applicants to live in Oregon, Washington, or Idaho. Pay starts at $31.00-$34.75 per hour.
Responsibilities
- The Consumer Underwriter II reviews and processes consumer and real estate loan applications, making credit decisions per OCCU policies.
- They assess borrower credit, risk, income, and assets, set loan terms, and approve, deny, or escalate requests as needed.
- The role includes identifying sales leads, supporting cross-selling, interviewing members about loan needs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and acting as the main contact for third-party vendors.
Qualifications
Minimum of two years' experience in consumer underwriting.Essential skills include analytical reasoning and critical thinking.To qualify, candidates need either a bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a similar field, or equivalent credentials.Benefits
