Job Title : Seasonal Driver
FLSA Status : Non-Exempt
Reports to : Business Manager
Schedule : 40 hours / week
Supervises : N / A
Rate of Pay : $14.00
Closing Date : 10 / 28 / 2025
Benefits : Standard; Full-Time, Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following :

- Sick leave benefit – 1 day per month, 12 sick days per year (accrual and availability begins at hire)
- Vacation benefit – 20 vacation days per year, accrued at the rate of .0769 hours for each hour worked (accrual begins at hire but may not be used until the completion of six months of employment)
- One floating day off for use (accrued immediately, and again annually, but may not be used until the completion of the initial three-month introductory period of employment)
- Pension Plan (after one year of continuous service)

Function
Operate an assigned The Salvation Army vehicle in a safe and courteous manner obeying all safety and traffic laws. Demonstrate respect for other employees, associates, donors, clients, and the goals and objectives of The Salvation Army .
Duties and Responsibilities
Operate an assigned The Salvation Army vehicle in a safe and courteous manner obeying all safety and traffic lawsSafety or traffic law infractions remain the responsibility of the driver and The Salvation Army will be held harmlessNavigate the route specified and supervise the volunteers and staff assigned to those specific locationsEnsure the staff and volunteers are performing the work required to maximize potential donationsEncourage staff and volunteers in their effortsStress (and follow through on) your availability to the staff and volunteers if neededKeep scheduling in line with expectationsDemonstrate respect for other employees, associates, donors, clients, and the goals and objectives of The Salvation ArmyEducation, Experience, Skills, Qualifications
Education / ExperienceA High School Diploma or GED
SkillsExcellent communication skills
Must have superior time management skillsOutstanding volunteer / donor skillsDrivingIf the position requires driving :
A minimum age of 21 (for insurance provision) and possession of a valid in-state driver’s license is required.
An MVR will be processed every year in accordance with The Salvation Army’s policies.Background CheckContinued employment will be contingent upon a biennial (every two years) background check that is processed in accordance with The Salvation Army’s policies.
